These tokens would then be securely stored in digital wallets managed by the registered custodians, who employ robust security measures, including cold storage solutions, to protect against potential threats.

The authorized participants (APs) maintain the ETF's liquidity and price alignment with the underlying asset. They can create new ETF shares by delivering HBAR tokens to the fund in exchange for ETF shares, or redeem existing shares for the equivalent amount of HBAR.  Hedera (HBAR) and Litecoin (LTC) are the altcoins with the strongest likelihood of securing SEC approval for spot ETFs. This optimism is bolstered by the SEC's recent approval of Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, suggesting a more favorable regulatory environment for additional cryptocurrency ETFs.

The approval process for a Spot Hedera ETF involves a few key steps. First, the

Once this takes place, the filing will be published in the Federal Register, kicking off an initial review period that typically lasts around 45 days but can be extended if necessary. Although exact timelines are hard to predict, industry experts believe that, given the current regulatory environment, these ETFs could receive approval within the next few months.
