Getting access to an initial public offering (IPO) has traditionally meant having a brokerage account, meeting minimum investment thresholds and often knowing the right people. For most retail investors, IPO access arrives too late or not at all. Bybit IPO Express changes that equation for eligible crypto users by bringing tokenized IPO access directly into the crypto ecosystem through xStock tokens.
Bybit IPO Express is a feature that gives eligible VIP and PRO users the chance to submit subscription requests for selected IPOs using supported assets such as
USDC before those stocks begin trading on public markets. An IPO, or initial public offering, is when a private company first sells its shares to the public, typically through a stock exchange.
Through IPO Express, users submit subscription requests during a defined registration window for a chance to receive an allocation after listing. Final pricing and allocation are confirmed later, so submitting a request does not guarantee that users will receive the full amount they subscribed for.
IPO Express does not give users direct ownership of traditional shares through a brokerage account. Instead, allocated exposure is delivered through xStock tokens, which are tokenized stock products designed to provide exposure to the underlying stock. You can learn more about how xStocks work on Bybit in the dedicated guide.
Why the IPO price is confirmed later
When you submit a subscription request through IPO Express, the final offer price has not been confirmed yet. This is common in IPO processes, where pricing is usually finalized after demand is collected.
During the subscription window, Bybit may display an indicative price range to help users estimate their subscription amount. However, this range is for reference only and should not be treated as a guaranteed entry price. After the subscription window closes, the final price is determined based on aggregated demand, broader market conditions and confirmation from the issuer or underwriter.
The actual price at which xStock tokens are issued will be confirmed after demand aggregation is complete.
What happens if demand is higher than supply?
When more users subscribe than there are tokens available, the IPO is considered oversubscribed. In this case, allocation is distributed across participants, and each user may receive fewer tokens than they originally requested.
Submitting a subscription request does not guarantee a full allocation, or any allocation at all. If your request is not filled, or is only partially filled, the unallocated portion of your frozen funds will be released back to your account according to the product rules.
IPO Express is available to a specific group of users. Before subscribing, check that you meet all of the following requirements:
IPO Express is not a risk-free or passive income product. Before subscribing, keep the following in mind:
Bybit IPO Express gives eligible VIP and PRO users a way to access selected IPOs using crypto, with successful allocations delivered through xStock tokens. The process is designed to be straightforward, but final pricing, allocation and IPO timelines are subject to market and product conditions. Allocation is not guaranteed, and all digital asset products carry risk. One of the first IPOs available through IPO Express is SpaceX.
