However, the fierce competition between validators on its blockchain means that you’ll need a substantial amount not to go broke running a Solana validator node. Some estimates suggest that just to break even (let alone make profit), a small-scale Solana validator would need at least 40,000 SOL ($9.14 million as of Nov 28, 2024).
